Byambison and Morgan Pierre (Elliott & Bennett)

Discipleship Pastor

I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where the Caribbean culture shaped much of who I am. As a 14-year-old kid, I put my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior during a chapel service. Looking back over my life to today, I stand amazed at God's goodness and grace toward me. Trusting Him as my Savior has been the richest decision in my life. I am married to Morgan and we are joyfully raising our little man, Elliott.

In 2012 I moved from Haiti to Cincinnati, Ohio where I graduated with my MDiv from Cincinnati Christian University. Returning to Haiti I served as the Director of Christian Education for Korekipe, a non-profit ministry aimed at providing Biblical education to youth and local churches.

A few years later I moved to Durham after marrying my wife and joined this church. The people of Ridgecrest poured love into my life and encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. In 2019 I was ordained by this church and Morgan and I moved to a rural mountain community in Haiti as the co-directors of Together We Can-Haiti. During our time there we ministered to local farmers, oversaw the care of 14 children, provided medical care and health education and led construction projects. In 2020 we returned to the Bull City where I joined the staff at Ridgecrest.

My primary role at Ridgecrest is to guide and direct the discipleship ministry and administrate the church office. I also oversee our Christian Service Team and our church outreach efforts. It is a joy and privilege to serve this church and community. I have been richly blessed with God's grace and my desire is to share that grace-filled hope with others.
