Children Pastor

I am a native of Durham, NC and a graduate of Northern Durham High School. My family started attending Ridgecrest when I was 3 years old. I am married to Katie and we have two kids; Ben and Bekah.

My primary duties at Ridgecrest include leading and guiding the Kids’ Ministry for kindergarten through 4th grade, leading and guiding the BRIDGE Ministry (5th & 6th grade), overseeing the preschool ministry and preschool ministry director, overseeing the church office staff, and serving as ministry resource with the Outdoor Ministry, Mission House Team, and Recreation Ministry Team.

I am a graduate of NCSU (BA), and Southeastern Seminary (MA). I have been involved in church ministry since 2006, serving primarily in staff ministry with youth and children. Before joining staff at Ridgecrest in 2011, I served 2 years each at 2 other churches in the area.

In my spare time I love spending time with family, coaching basketball, reading, and pulling for the Blue Devils. Whenever possible, we like to get away and visit my in-laws at the beach, or my brother in the mountains.

Having been blessed to be raised in a Christian home and involved in a great church, In 1993 at the age of 6, I trusted Jesus as my savior and was baptized at Ridgecrest. In 2005, while at Summer Camp with the Ridgecrest kids ministry, I dedicated my life to the Lord for full-time vocational ministry. It is, and has been, a joy to serve the Lord by guiding and directing boys and girls to follow Jesus Christ.
