I was born in Columbia SC but grew up in the awesome town of Aiken, SC. I have been married to  my wonderful bride Linda since 1981. We have 3 grown children who each have 3 children of their own.

My primary responsibilities at Ridgecrest include overseeing missions, building and grounds, special events, guest services as well as working with our College and Bridge (5-6th graders) Kids. I have served on staff at RBC since 1993, originally coming as the Student Pastor where I served for 15 years.

I graduated from Aiken High School (1976), Tulane University (1980) - with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (1983).

In my leisure time I enjoy hiking, traveling, disc golf, pondering Scripture, reading, writing, and napping.

I was born into a Jewish family but was not brought up religiously. I started attending a church in early high school at the invitation of my best friend and made a profession of faith in Jesus when I was 16 years old. Learning to walk with the Lord has been a life changing adventure every step of the way and I am often heard saying that "The joy of the Lord is my strength!"
