Connection Steps

Abide Diligently

Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Abiding has everything to do with staying close to Jesus and drawing everything we need from Him to nourish our souls and navigate our way through this world.

Worship Wholeheartedly

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1)

Worship is a way of life not just a service we attend. We are learning how to do this through the holy times, through the happy times, and through the hard times as we celebrate in community and challenge one another to find joy in God everyday not just on Sunday.

Serve Joyfully

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)

We live in a me-first culture where selfishness is more natural than serving. And yet as believers we are called to serve one another. Gladness is found in taking our eyes off of ourselves and focusing on the needs of others as the Lord supernaturally empowers us to overcome our natural desire to look out for #1.

Love Generously

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,  with all your mind… and your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-38)

We want to be known as a community that loves God, loves one another, and loves our city. We are learning to do this as we remind ourselves of the gospel and that “Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” (2 Corinthians 5:14)

Pray Boldly

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to His power at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)

We have much to learn about boldly coming before God’s throne of grace but we are learning to be followers of Jesus who “expect great things from God and attempt great things for God.”

Go Intentionally

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20)

If we really believe what we say we believe then we can’t wait for people to come to us - we have to GO to them. Our post-Christian world is a world that desperately needs to hear the good news that Jesus offers Life that is truly life.
