WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

KIDS’ CONNECT GROUP

Kids’ Connect meets at 9:15 on Sunday mornings, and is small group time for kids. Connect Groups consist of two grades. We use Lifeway’s Gospel Project material.

KIDS’ WORSHIP

Kids’ Worship meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 and is for all kids kindergarten through 5th grade. This is a time of worship consisting of games, songs, studying God’s Word, and more! We use Lifeway’s Gospel Project material.

AWANA

AWANA is our Wednesday Night gathering for kids. AWANA meets from 6:30 - 8:00 during the traditional Durham Public School Year. The goal of AWANA is to help kids grow in their knowledge of God and His Word through Bible Memorization, Bible Study, Games, and lots of fun.

SPECIAL EVENTS

SUMMER CAMP

One of the highlights of our Summer is going to a 5-day, 4-night Kids Camp! Camp is for students who have completed 2nd - 5th grade, and it is a great opportunity for kids to get out of their comfort zone, meet new people, have a tone of fun, all while learning more about Jesus and growing in their faith. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Every summer we enjoy transforming our church facilities into a themed environment for VBS. We enlist the services of almost 100 adult and youth volunteers in order to provide the best VBS experience for the kids in our community. VBS meets Monday through Friday morning 9-12.

SATURDAY SERVE

We love giving our kids the opportunity to connect to our neighbors by serving. Saturday serve opportunities are for kids and their parents to serve together at Ridgecrest, or in the Durham community. We often visit the NC Food Bank.

We are unashamedly safe as we seek to provide the best opportunities for boys and girls to CONNECT to God, to one another, and to our neighbors.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Our top priority is to provide a safe and secure place for our kids. There are several safety protocols that we have put in place:

  1. All volunteers are screened, complete a background check, and have been through child safety training.

  2. We utilize a computer check-in system for all kids which prints matching badges for the child and parent.
